Animal Emergency Care handles pet emergencies that occur when your family veterinarian is unavailable. Your veterinarian may also refer your pet to us for continuing treatment while they are closed. A veterinarian and veterinary technician are always on duty at Animal Emergency Care during our hours of operation.
Animal Emergency Care is equipped to handle a variety of pet emergencies, from poisonings, to bite wounds and other traumatic injuries. Our hospital also provides care to patients with acute or chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, kidney failure, congestive heart failure, and gastrointestinal upset. Our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians are trained to assess your pet’s condition upon arrival and provide immediate, life-saving treatment, if necessary.
Animal Emergency Care is equipped with an in-house laboratory, which allows us to access our patient’s bloodwork results quickly. Our state-of-the-art digital x-ray system provides quick, clear radiographs which can be sent to your veterinarian on a compact disc or over the internet.
If your pet needs follow-up care after being discharged from our hospital, you should return to your family veterinarian. Animal Emergency Care works closely with our referring veterinarians to insure that our patients are provided with consistent veterinary care.
Our Fees
Emergency veterinary care is often more costly than the preventive care you receive through your family veterinarian. The expense of providing and maintaining a fully staffed, state-of-the-art emergency hospital is reflected in our fees.
There is an initial fee for each patient who is examined by one of our veterinarians. All other services, including diagnostic testing, surgery, medications, and hospitalization are additional. After examining your pet, our veterinarian will develop a treatment plan appropriate for your pet’s condition. A 50% deposit is required for all patients who are admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Animal Emergency Care requests payment in full when your pet is discharged from the hospital. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. If you have financial concerns, please let us know in advance.
