In 1998, Animal Emergency Care began a unique partnership with NEADS (Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans).
NEADS placed puppies in the Northeastern Correctional Center in Concord, MA.
Inmates provided basic obedience and life training for those puppies.
Animal Emergency Care provided vaccinations, neutering, and emergency care.
Many of those puppies became adult service dogs for the deaf and disabled. Some were trained as assistance dogs for combat veterans.
In 2008, Animal Emergency Care was presented with the Unsung Hero Award, celebrating 10 years of partnership with NEADS.
Animal Emergency Care is proud to support this worthy cause.
